“Changing the Landscape for Adults with IDD”

MP is a full-day, year-around educational program for adults with cognitive disabilities. These special adults are affectionately referred to as HIPsters (Hugely Important People). MP provides the HIPsters with a community to belong to, as well as, socialization opportunities, vocational, trade, and independent living skills.

PPC’s partnership with MP began in 2016. Our first volunteer event interacting with the HIPsters, we realized just how vital MP’s mission is to our community as a whole and to our community of adults with IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities).

Since that very special day, we have continued to deepen our friendships through monthly volunteerism, fundraising, and spreading the word just how special of a place My Possibilities is.

“Building Great Businesses for a Greater Purpose”

CEO, John Rogers, and his talented Management Team participate in a monthly program, which quite literally changed the scope of how PPC does business.  C12 brought shape to what it means to be faithful stewards of both the business aspect of PPC, as well as, the team of employees who are PPC.

C12 is a nationwide Peer Advisory Group(s) of Christian CEOs, business owners, and executives.

C12 provides a confidential and intimate environment where like-minded peers share ideas, discover and plan for areas in their businesses that need improvement, hold each other accountable, and encourage one another to uphold the core values of a Christian business leader.

“Feeding...Helping...Serving"

Good Samaritans of Garland, “Good Sam”, was formed in 1983 from an alliance of several Garland faith communities with the intent to provide centrally-located services for neighbors in need of assistance.

Hunger and food-insecurity are closely related, but distinct, concepts. Hunger refers to a physical sensation of discomfort, while food-insecurity refers to a lack of available financial resources for food at the level of the household.

Many of Good Sam’s housed families are caregivers for elderly parents, raising grandchildren, disabled, or facing a family emergency or other unexpected life challenge. How Good Sam offers assistance is of highest priority. Good Sam’s staff and volunteers welcome all guests with kindness and respect, assuring our guests we are available to help them navigate through a difficult time with food and/or resource assistance. People are our #1 priority!

“Real hope. Real truth. Real healing.”

Real Options is a faith-based pro-life pregnancy resource clinic that has been serving Collin County and North Dallas for over 30 years. This ministry is committed to creating a culture of life. Their goal is to empower clients to make informed choices when facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Regardless of age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation or circumstances, Real Options will provide a warm and safe environment to everyone. They recognize the emotional, physical and spiritual facets of each individual that can influence decisions today and in the future.

“So No Senior Goes Hungry”

Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals to the elderly and disabled. Each week, Team Odessa picks up prepared meals and delivers them to the homes on their Meals on Wheels route. This program has allowed employees to not only provide warm meals but to also create meaningful relationships with meal recipients.

Thank you Meals on Wheels of Odessa for ensuring no senior goes hungry.

"People, God's Favorite Creation. Changing the World One Person at a Time with what We Have Makes a Difference."

Jesus House Odessa is a multi-faceted community outreach. They have men’s transitional living, a women and children’s center, and soup kitchen. The soup kitchen, “His Kitchen” is open to all who need assistance with meals. Anywhere between 100-135 meals are served daily. Cooking, handing plates, serving in the line, and cleaning are part of His Kitchen’s volunteer program. Serving a meals with a smile goes a long way in the effort to make the world a better place. It’s an experience only God can give!

“Hope starts with food."

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development. The work we do is deeply personal to us, our volunteers, donors, food distribution partners and meal recipients. And we mean it when we say it: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” Because no one deserves to go hungry, especially when we can do something about it.
